Michal was rescued after her father, dubbed by the media The Puppetman, killed her mother claiming he was controlled by evil force.

Many years later, he is about to be executed for his crime. But Michal is beginning to show disturbing symptoms that suggest her father wasn't lying about what happened. Written and directed by Brandon Christensen (Superhost).

What one would expect plotwise. There are some great kills, but that's about the extent of it. Decent movie to throw on if you're looking for some spooky that isn't too demanding of your attention.

Just watched this, and my opinion of it is more positive than miss-lapin’s was!

When you watch a lot of horror movies like we do, you get accustomed to the formulaic plots, and find enjoyment in the interesting executions (hopefully). But this movie at least changes up the plot, so beats you were expecting don’t happen when you’re expecting them to, moments you thought you saw coming happen in an unexpected way, and characters you thought were important or unimportant bow out or take center stage unexpectedly.

I’m not saying this is a modern classic, but it did shake things up in a fun way, and I appreciated that. Kudos to Christensen for bringing a little variety to the direct-to-streaming puppet show!
