It was so nice to see Millie again and see Paul with his son and the kids at the center. The depth of emotion from that man at the beginning…I swear this show makes me sniffly in a way a sports documentary should not.
I also really appreciated the focus on Notts County and the respect they showed for them as well as their opponents in that final game. What a well done finale.

I agree, the Notts County stuff was good, and it was necessary to to acknowledge that Wrexham wouldn't have had such a record breaking season if County hadn't been neck-and-neck with them all year. It would've been extremely unfair on them if they'd failed to get through the play-offs, even worse than it was on Wrexham the previous year.
Glad to see the series has been picked up for another season, although I don't suppose there was much doubt about that. I wouldn't be surprised to see Wrexham win promotion to League 1 this season; the first few episodes of S03 will be a rollercoaster, without giving away too much!

The Notts County nods did not go unnoticed in the press, or on twitter.
I haven't seen much post-finale press interviews with mcelhenney or reynolds yet, but if anyone has asked them what they felt like as they stood in the box, gazing, as the stands emptied onto the pitch in joyous chaos, i'd love to hear their answer.
I assume they felt a bit god-like, having made all that elation possible

I think that episode was really well made, meant to satisfy those of us who already knew what would happen, and those who've refrained from finding out in advance. Count me in for another season for sure.
