I liked this, mostly, until the big dumb fight near the end. The source material (i.e. Logan's various adventures and experiences in Japan) is a bit of a mixed bag for me, as some of it flirts with proto-weeabooism, but this mostly avoids that, and the version of Yukio in this is fun to watch. I also thought that having Logan sort of haunted by Jean Grey was an interesting choice.

Why didn't Richard and Lauren Shuler-Donner name their production company Donner Party?

Feels like a missed opportunity.

I don't have a great recollection of this film, just that it was better than Origins but also, still somewhat disappointed by the film. I always thought Wolverine's Japan arc was interesting in the comics (I mean, the guy got married!) and the concept of Wolverine fighting off ninja and people with katanas with his claws seem like a natural environment for some really great fighting...but it was a bit of a letdown?

didn't they take the prophecy of his death from this movie and use it for the end of Logan?
