Is Jonas a snob for preferring more expensive liquor?

Actually, no actual evidence in the link above, though there are some comments attesting to the existence of "jimming around."

This was kind of a weird case; more so than usual, it felt like it was the product of somebody who felt it would be fun to get on the podcast, rather than somebody with a real complaint. (If the "lake beer" anecdote was really the best evidence the plaintiff could muster for being persecuted for his tastes... well, I didn't find it convincing.) I kinda feel the judge decided to award him the $15 worth of Busch simply because it was an amusing demand. Which it was, so fair enough.

Anyway, I got the cultural reference, so I'm happy.

Agreed. Everything that didn't have to do with the actual case was kick-ass, but the case was distilled boredom.

I've had a change in my podcast listening opportunities, and have had to trim back the number of different shows I download. JJHo was the last Maximum Fun show I've kept, as I really have enjoyed listening to John and his insights and opinions. (I really like the Monte Belmonte episodes)

The past few really haven't grabbed me, and I've kicked them down the listen-list day after day. I've only just started this episode, but based on comments it may finally be time to unsubscribe for awhile.

At least give this one a try, jazon. The highs were sufficiently high that I overall liked the episode.

I feel like the show has been a little off recently, too. Too much serious lecturing from the judge, unsatisfying judgements, and not enough hilarity. They also haven't been clearing the docket (answering the shot questions) at the end of the show.

In this show, the brother-in-law was supposed to be snobbing on the guy who brought the case, but there wasn't much evidence of that or exploration thereof. Then we got lecturing about not being a brand name snob about alcohol and not being an alcoholic, and the weird judgement. I ended up feeling put off the whole thing, as I did with the visiting a psychic episode.
