Filmed in a Massachusetts prison, Dogs on the Inside follows the birth of a relationship between abandoned rescue dogs and prison inmates as they work together toward a second chance.

I found this to be heartbreaking, inspiring, soul-crushing, spiritually meaningful, and a great expression of the powerful and deeply human / deeply canine need for companionship. What I loved the most was the opportunity to hear inmates describe their own experiences with the dogs.
