Murdock and Foggy get caught in the crossfire of the Punisher's revenge. Karen and Murdock dig for the truth in very different ways.
*DA Reyes is shot to death, Foggy is wounded in the process.
*Murdock confronts Fisk in prison over Frank's escape, his attempt to intimidate Fisk by threatening Vanessa's freedom goes spectacularly badly.
*The medical inspector is murdered; Castle shows up at Karen's apartment in time to save her from being shot to death as well.
*Claire has a talk with Matt on the hospital rooftop
*The people rescued from the Farm have strange substances in their blood, and are murderous and creeptastic once they arise, as ninjas of The Hand scale the hospital walls.
*Elektra fights off an assassin (apparently sent by Stick) in an airplane hangar.

Reyes has dumped her exposition and fulfilled her narrative purpose. It's time for her to go.

... while I get -why- Murdock went in to talk to Fisk, it really was a singularly bad idea.

Matt is full of bad ideas this season and it is kind of awesome. That rooftop scene with Claire he flat out tells us why -- he's driving people away because he's turned his life to crap and he can't do anything about it other than try to limit the collateral damage to his friends.
Also, I will take any excuse for more Wilson Fisk.

It was definitely a bad idea, as given by the fact that Fisk asked for Murdock's file at the end, but it was definitely enjoyable. Particularly the part where we know Matt has to hold back from generally fighting back almost the entire time.
The one thing which bugged me about the Reyes murder scene....WINDOWS. C'mon people, you have a guy who's a proven expert with firearms and you hang out in a room with large windows?! I don't fault Karen going into her apartment or what not, but Reyes in her office, meh. I kind of didn't like the fact that they had Reyes in her sweat shirt. She's reduced from being this powerful woman in a business suit to one who's someone panicky in something she wears around the house. It was, in my opinion, kind of a disservice to her character, even if it might have been intended to soften our feelings toward her prior to her death (as well the threat on her child thing). She was a take no nonsense type of prosecutor and I think it would have made more sense for her to have her "armor" on so to speak than what we saw in this episode.
I keep waiting for the editor of the newspaper to get killed. Argh, that in itself is killing me.
Creepy kids. Well that was fun. Matt's dive out the window to save Claire....pretty awesome.

Zombies and ninjas!
I hope that they can wrap things up in the next three episodes because there's a hell of a lot of plot going on here.

Since when do newspaper editors get to order cops around? I'm thinking of the scene where Karen's boss casually details two NYPD officers to accompany her back to her apartment.
