The convention is in full swing, and VP Blythe helps light a spark that the Underwoods hope will fan into a nominating flame. But first, Cathy Durant may have a trick up her sleeve as well.

This is the start of thing that I hated the most* in this season, which is what happens with Doug. IT MAKES ME SO MAD but I can't really talk about it yet. Argh. Still, here he is again, straight creepin'.

The Durant-for-president thing made me laugh, at least. Hit 'em where it hurts, Conway.

*Well, probably. There are 2 things I hated, but I don't want to watch Doug at all any more ever, so I guess he probably wins.

I haven't watched past this episode yet, but I'm really hoping the Underwoods don't end up just totally getting their way again. I was loving watching Catherine be a formidable foe to Francis and not stand for his bullshit for once, but alas, she got sidelined just like all his other enemies. That was one of the big problems with Season 2 I think, that everything came too easy for them and it always magically worked out. I want to see them get their damn comeuppance! I'm gonna be super disappointed if the rest of the season plays out with them just winning at everything.

Also, Doug, would you just please stop already with the obsessive creepy sad sack business. Oh another pretty brunette, gee, I wonder if Doug will develop an unhealthy and deadly fixation on her?

As a fairly new Atlanta person, it was amusing to hear Cathy say something about the strip clubs being the best because it is a real thing they say about Atlanta down here.
