Lucifer: #Team Lucifer

The investigation into a murder involving Satanists casts suspicion onto Lucifer.
I think Lucifer's reversal on mortality is a combination of "shit getting real" with the fact that it (a) IS avoidable and (b) is Dear Angel Brother's chosen mechanism to drag him back to work. It's not a novelty any more.

He's worried about Chloe's effect on him because he can't explain it. She's nothing he's ever encountered, and that's saying something.
This show really found its footing in the second half of the season. Glad it's been renewed.

Lucifer might be thinking of the dying priest's line, "I was wondering why God chose to put you in my path, but now I think He might have chosen to put me in your path." Perhaps he suspects that Dear Old Dad has put Chloe in his path.

What I don't get is Lucifer's sudden reversal on his mortality. In earlier episodes he found it exciting. Now he's worried about Chloe causing his vulnerability. It just seems he went from go to stop without any reason.
Is this the first call-out to any of the creative team from the comics? Although though I never read the series, even I couldn't help but catch the (very repeated and very obvious) Mike Carey references.
