My jaw-dropped at the very end of the episode.

That was quite a combination of scandals they put in this episode. Wowza. I continue to be impressed with this show, really.

Yeah, there was a whole bunch of implicit racism there...? (the crow thing resolution)

I thought that the gun thing was pretty even handed with it's exploration of the humourously extreme anti-gun/gun-phobic stance vs child-like rhetoric of the pro-gun side.

Kudos to the show for exploring this very complex issue without overly praising either side (yet). Both sides as depicted are shallow caricatures that the other side had slapped on each other. But can't end but be an indictment of current gun control legislature/current-practices.

There's going to be a hookup next episode, isn't there?

Lauren Ash (Dina) was the best Hortense in Another Period; it's great that she left for a bigger (?) role (and the writing for Hortense got shorter and shorter shrift), but it feels like her current role in Superstore is just a watered-down gender-swapped Ron Swanson (without understanding the why- of the character and the how- of why the character is so popular).

Ash deserves better. C'mon writers! She'll sell anything (good) that you can come up with and throw at her!

Totally missed that she was Hortense. Her character here makes me flinch every time she opens her mouth. Good job her.
