Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency: Very Erectus Show Only
November 19, 2016 7:13 PM - Season 1, Episode 5 - Subscribe
Todd reveals a secret during a search for dark enigmas. Elsewhere; Estevez and Zimmerfield take big risks as they come closer to concluding their missing person's case.
I also did not see kitten-shark coming. I am bummed out that they killed Richard Schiff's character.
Good character development on Todd and Dirk. Don't really think anything surprising turned up but it was good to have them out in the woods having feelings.
According to the credits the crossbow design was by Adam Savage.

I hope we get the backstory on Farah since they showed that conversation where it was implied she wasn't fit for actual police type work (maybe CIA or FBI was mentioned...I don't actually remember) but they show her doing the morally right stuff it seems like. (Shooting the guy who was shooting arrows at the cops.)

Me: wait wait wait, is there a presumed straight dudes talking about their feelings about their feelings equivalent of the Bechdel Test?
Spouse: I don't think so, but this scene feels like MeFi wrote a TV show.
Me: I know, it's great.

Loving Dustin Milligan in this as the dumb and overzealous agent. Maybe I'm biased because he's from my hometown, but I think he's killing it.
I was convinced Todd had faked being cured, not faked being sick so that was a bit of a surprise and a plausible explanation for why he hates himself so much.

My new favorite random non-sequitur - "He's got the shark!"
As for Farah, she knew there was something very wrong with FBI guy. And while I understand there is some complicated, difficult and hurtful shit wrapped up in his reciting her past issues, I don't really buy that she would just forget about all his very strange actions.
