I guess this will serve as the Season 4 thread?
Early on in the last/current season of Vikings was a keel hauling done... historically(?). I had always imagined it as running from stern to keel rather than the more controlled version that is likely more historically accurate.
Damn. The keel hauling in Ep 3 is really brutal, and demonstrates how much control over how much damage is to be inflicted. Rollo in Vikings got a frat boy hazing compared to the scenes here. Excellent effects, so a warning.
Ladies and gentlemen, a reminder that this was done in a saltwater ocean (or are the waters in the Caribbean less briney?).
I really liked the fight choreography in Ep 4. Dunno how historically accurate the adaptation of the tomahawk design philosophy was. I'd kind of expected kukris (because of trade) before 'hawks, but I guess axes of all kinds are pretty universal and use-constraints funnel into very similar design endpoints.

I am not normally the target audience for prequels, so it is surprising just how excited I am for this season.
