Vulture Recap: Cannon Fodder

AV Club recap - Underground searches for justice—and a savior

Thanks for posting, filthy light thief - I didn't get to watch the episode until tonight for various reasons. I found it a little confusing at times - could not for the life of me see what Ernestine saw at night at the bottle tree, just a blob of a person in white. I mean, I knew it was the pregnant woman, but, had she hanged herself from the tree? The Vulture recap said "But something about the way she sets eyes on Clara — with streaks of red against the white of Clara’s dress all that is offsetting the darkness — foreshadows a slow journey back to life."

Also found the timeline of Rosalee & Elizabeth's scenes a little unnecessarily convoluted, and was a little thrown by the recasting of Patty, but, whatever. I was surprised by Rosalee's pregnancy reveal, as one of the season premiere recaps had mentioned the actress was pregnant during filming and speculated we might be looking at a season of 'hide-the-belly' film tricks, so I wasn't expecting they'd have worked it into the actual story.
