I was not enthused about giving James Damore any more of my time or energy, but listening to Alex Blumberg describe the sparkly skull meme was delightful, and the No No Yes was a fantastic chaser.

I always interpreted the sparkly brain meme as ascending levels of enlightenment, not mind-blown-ality. Am I alone here?

Yeah, it's generally regarded as levels of “enlightenment.” Quotation marks very much mandatory.
