Legends of Tomorrow: Zari
October 25, 2017 4:51 AM - Season 3, Episode 3 - Subscribe
Sara travels to the future to capture a rogue time traveler, but the Legends disrupt things by trying to protect an outlaw named Zari in order to hopefully lure in the time traveling assassin. Meanwhile, Stein tries to diagnose Amaya's condition, but Nate discovers an unusual treatment that Amaya begrudgingly agrees to undergo.
So we've met Isis. (Notice the similarities in amulet design. And no, I didn't need to look that up, that's residual Saturday morning TV knowledge thank you very much.) Zari seems okay as a character, but we'll have to see how well she works on the team. I don't know if Mick needs the competition of another thief, even if he's going to have a massive crush on her.
When Amaya asked her ancestor where they were, I was expecting the answer to be "The Red" (even though there was way too much green foliage). Breaking up the forces of the natural world into their various components (The Red for animals, The Green for plants, etc.) would have been a nice future set-up for an appearance by Swamp Thing, but I guess that would be pushing the boundaries a bit even for this show.
After an episode like this, I can see part of the appeal for Garber to depart the show. What a waste, and yes, I know Firestorm effects are expensive, but I think the fans are owed a bit more than they give us.
I'd love to know what kind of training the water witch had to that easily defeat Sara in hand-to-hand combat. Even if she's related to Amaya and has her own (totem) powers, the fight shouldn't have been that much of a blow-out.

I'll have to rewatch Vixen on CWSeed but I recall Kuasa being pretty hard for them to beat until they all teamed up. Although I don't think Sara fought her hand to hand in those episodes.

Was Vixen good? It's been sitting on my DVR ever since CW ran it as a special event over the summer. I haven't made the time to watch it yet.

it's pretty good, on par with all the other DC animated stuff. the same actors/actresses do their character's voices.

I think my favorite bit was probably Mick being unable to get in a shot during the first ARGUS brawl.
