Call My Agent!: Season 2 / Dix pour cent saison deux
November 1, 2017 10:03 PM - Season 2 (Full Season) - Subscribe

The partners at Paris’s Agence Samuel Kerr must reckon with a new majority shareholder and a competitor stealing the agency’s high-profile clients, in addition to the usual passions and intrigues.

Trés trashy! Trés fun! Seulment un peu triste! Pardonnez-vous mon français mal!

Only partway through this season, but I'm finding the new majority shareholder tiresome. He is way too much of a mustachioed melodrama villain. That "present" stunt he pulls on Andréa in episode 2? Ridiculous.

Watching actors like Fabrice Luchini mocking their own insecurities, though? Gold.

Okay just watched episode 3 and was shocked but not too surprised by boss and Andréa.

Also kinda bummed that the Senegalese driving ministry official had to be the heavy while the lily-white rural police officer got to say "Go on, Norman, we won't keep you in jail for drunk driving and make you lose your license! Go star in that movie! *whispers* it was meant to beeee..." This show is not as progressive as it would have you think.

I love this show. And I love the implication of it going where it seems to be going for series 3. Won't spoil for anybody half way through.

I'm thankful I'm watching this with my very own French culture interpreter. He fills me in on the layers of cultural knowledge (who the actors are, what they were famous for, why their portrayal is hilarious) He's got a great memory for faces and can identify some of the background actors that are likely to appear in the next episodes. We also have a game going where we try to anticipate the Frenchiest thing that could possibly happen and we've won that bet practically every time.
