DI Jimmy Perez and his team investigate the murder of a teenage girl whose body was found on a secluded beach, a case that shares several similarities with the unsolved disappearance of a girl named Catriona 19 years previously. Brian Cox guest stars as Magnus Bain, a person of interest in both cases.

What, no comments? It is a very good series that fulfills the requirement of murders taking place in a coastal area with beach and cliffs. Are these real Shetland accents? Definitely Scottish but I have no idea how accurate.

I never thought to look this up on FF.

We're on Season 6. I think I have heard too much Scottish accent now, also I was listening to a Limmy stream, this will do something to my brain.

Of course in later seasons it's no longer "let's adapt these books like little TV movies" but the more usual scandinoir stuff.
