Crazy Ex-Girlfriend: Nathaniel Gets The Message!
January 13, 2018 7:51 AM - Season 3, Episode 9 - Subscribe

Rebecca tries to embrace helping instead of loving, gets a volunteer job, and has an ethical dilemma. White Josh and Nathaniel meet and instantly become best friends and bromates.

I feel sorry for Marty: he's actually cute except for the terrible hair. And he writes song titles about her cheating. Whoa.

Nathaniel and White Josh are the best pairing ever.

Ohhhhh, so that's how Josh is a fireman!

Fit hot guys have problems too! We have to twerk out our sad! We express so much better without these pants!

We'll see if this egg donation thing actually goes.

I appreciate and echo Paula's concerns about Rebecca taking whatever hormones are involved in egg donation. However, I can't help but like the idea of a weird Darryl- Madison- Rebecca-new baby family dynamic. I think they could make it work. So I think that storyline will get derailed, but I'm not sure I want it to.

That Oktoberfest engagement party was just an elaborate set up for Heather's "leder... hosen" delivery, and it was definitely worth it. I hope Valencia's business survives Rebecca's volunteering.

White Josh and Nathaniel should obviously be friends, so I'm glad they found each other this episode.

That first song had some "Under Your Spell" visuals going on and I am all here for it.

I'm not sure what to think about this show anymore. Don't get me wrong, I still get a kick out of the musical numbers, and I know the cast is talented. I understand what they're trying to depict with Rebecca's mental illness, but I'm just so tired of Rebecca flipping from one obsession to the next.

When it was just one obsession, Josh Chan, it was a bit more manageable but as the seasons have gone on, it seems that she jumps quicker and harder into every little situation and blows it up completely.

Now, yes, I realize that's the point the show is making, but it's become a bit too tiring to watch--it's just too repetitive with too much bad sitcom plotting. (I swear it feels like they're just recycling discarded and rejected Three's Company scenarios at this point.) I just wish they could slow down, show Rebecca making some progress, and then have her backslide if need be, or show her struggling in some other way.

At this point in the show, I'm much more interested in everybody else (and I agree that White Josh and Nathaniel make a great pairing) and their lives.

I liked them have White Josh repeatedly being infuriated by the Hen do in the gay bar.

Sorry, it's California, so, I guess it was a Bachelorette Party rather than a Hen Do.

I hope this show never stops contriving ways for the side characters to implausibly remain in one another's lives in various combinations. It's fucking great.
