Not to knock the tiny swimsuit, but that green 3-piece suit Lucifer was wearing from the beginning of the episode through the hallway fight was scrumptious. As was the hallway fight.

This episode was a lot of fun even if it was pretty stupid at the same time. Supes and Wolvie references, a scrumptious suit (you weren't the only one who loved that suit, oh yeah! although I'm still not exactly what I'd call that colour as it seemed to shift tones under different lighting conditions), Maze showing off her weapon collection, Dan getting so embarrassed, and yes, what has become the mandatory superhero hallway fight, and best of all more Cain/Pierce. World-weary Welling is compelling to watch. He's a great addition to this cast, and I'll be sorry to see him go if/when they finally find a cure for the curse.

I can't believe I didn't notice it before reading the AV Club review, but yes, even though they weren't primary colours, Cain's shirt was definitely an homage to Clark Kent plaid.

The chainsaw ending was unnecessary. Lucifer should know to trust Cain by now as to his curse and not need to put it to the test, but I guess he wants to see the tapeworm effect first hand. Novelty must be an especially rare experience for the immortal devil. Yes, I know it was a tease and misdirection for the audience, but there could have been a better way to do that.

I couldn't remember what Pierce's first name was so when he was introduced as Mark, I wasn't sure if that was comparable to Lucifer's Luke (something close to his actual name) but it certainly stood out. And then I figured out why: Apostles Mark and Luke. Well I guess if Lucifer is working out his daddy issues, they may as well play that up. (For anybody who also blanked, IMDB says its Marcus.)

Well, yeah, but I think it's more a 'the mark of Cain' nod for Pierce. (And the subtitles are still saying 'Kane'.)

I wonder if we'll see some incarnation of Abel? I feel like he must be the key to Cain's redemption/death, that Cain will turn out to have been stuck on Earth not by God but by the force of his own guilt, like all the souls torturing themselves in Hell.

Ah, the mark of Cain. Right. I guess it works on multiple levels.

I'm sure you're right that somehow is brother must play a role in the breaking of the curse. And of course Chloe will also have to play a role because she's special and they're attracted to each other (of course that had to happen).

At this point, no matter what happens, I'm happily along for the ride.

The hallway fight scene wasn't a superhero homage- pretty sure, with the Korean mob, it's an Oldboy reference!

I'm irritated that Cain has blue eyes!

All I can say is that I absolutely loved that episode. The show has come so far from the same-sex prudishness of the first season.
