JB is in New York, accepting an award for crime writing at the Gotham Book Awards, where she meets her friend Horace. They go to a party full of literary folks, including Hemsley Post, who is in town to host the awards and talk about his new book. Helmsley and Horace get into a scuffle, Horace gets drunk and forgets the rest of the evening, while Helmsley ends up dead, and Horace is suspect #1. Can Jessica crack the case?
