Well, at least the show listened to my complaints about the lack of serious PCS symptoms for Sherlock, so that's something. I also enjoyed getting to see Joan and Marcus partnering up and working the case without too much interference/help from Sherlock.

On the not so positive side, I'm already tired of this shady Michael character trying to be Sherlock's bff. I hope this isn't a storyline they try to stretch out for the whole season.

Wait: What did our ESL teacher/bird flu survivor/severed head die of?

The doctor did it, they didn't specify the exact manner of murder. But the doctor lured him to the hospital, killed him, took his spleen, and disposed of the body via the crematory the hospital used.

Sigh. I liked the structure and the secondary mystery of what happened with Sherlock's missing hours, but felt like it wrapped up in a way full of plot holes.

Loved seeing Union Bob from Mozart in the Jungle at the beginning.

DNA can survive embalming! Totally annoyed at this otherwise pretty good episode.

His fatigue is... gone? Just gone?

I haven't looked very far into this, but Desmond Harrington (shady wannabe bff) is listed in the opening credits now with the core cast, so I don't think he's going anywhere anytime soon.

Serial killers saying "catch me if you can" are a cliché. I hope this doesn't turn out to be that.
