Drunk History: Death
July 18, 2018 7:36 AM - Season 5, Episode 12 - Subscribe

It gets a bit grim in this episode, as Derek Waters tackles death with Steve Berg and Montgomery Meigs (Jason Ritter), the Civil War Quartermaster General who decided to bury Union troops on Robert E. Lee's estate, Jimmy O. Yang and the plot to steal Lincoln's body and finally JD Ryznar who tells us the story of train robber Elmer McCurdy (Justin Long), who became an attraction after his demise.

All these stories were entertaining -- the story about Meigs particularly moved me, the Lincoln corpse heist attempt was pretty funny, and I enjoyed the McCurdy story, including JD Ryznar exclaiming that putting a nickel in Waters's mouth was a delight.
