Drunk History: Halloween
July 27, 2018 9:12 AM - Season 5, Episode 13 - Subscribe

History is made, with the first ever Halloween Special aired in July. Derek Waters has Allan McLeod telling the story of the Curse of Giles Corey (Rich Fulcher), accused of witchcraft in the Salem Witch Trials of 1692, Tess Lynch follows with Elizabeth Krebs (Allison Tolman), the founder of modern Halloween, and Greg Tuculescu closes the season with Vlad the Impaler (Seth Rogen).

Allison Tolman was wonderful as Krebs, and Tess Lynch's narration was awesome.

It seemed like there were fewer big-name guests this season. I wonder if this was an artistic choice or a budget thing, or what. Jack McBrayer was on often enough that he just kind of seemed like part of the regular ensemble.

I've heard Derek Waters say that he doesn't want the show to get stale and he feels like it might be winding down before too long. Fingers crossed this won't be the final season!
