House of Cards, Claire's season?

The final eight episodes are up on netflix. Most reviews are about offscreen politics and complaints - any metafilter fans who support #metoo and love the vicious Claire Underwood?

I've been bingeing the final season, mainly just to see how it ends. I'm about halfway through. Sadly, the ending I was hoping for doesn't seem possible given the events of the last episode I watched (being vague as to not spoil it but, somebody I'd hoped would be left standing at the end of the series died). Would be interested in episode recaps if they're posted.

I do enjoy Robin Wright chewing scenery as lead, but the plot this season seems a bit slapdash. I mean, I think the show peaked overall about season 3, but it definitely feels like a show that's just running out the clock. The cast, though, does a lot to save it.
