The Blacklist: The Scimitar (No. 22)
November 4, 2014 10:50 AM - Season 2, Episode 7 - Subscribe
Red tells Liz and Samar about an Iranian operative codenamed The Scimitar, who has a mission to kidnap America's top nuclear weapons engineer. Liz gets a lead from Tom in her search for Berlin, but Red has his own business with the criminal.
I try not to look for loopholes - who is the guy running the boat for Liz? Why hasn't someone pointed out giant screens displaying a secret nuclear scientist in a facility that has been infiltrated and leaked might be a little silly, or my husband's pet peeve, that they wear body armor but not helmets because they'd mess up their perfect hair.
I guessed she was Berlin's daughter early on, but it was nicely done, her confiding in Red when he'd already drugged her and her face when she saw Berlin again.

A month late but it's hard to love this season of the show. The formula feels tiresome, particularly the episodic A stories. FWIW the big reveal about Food Truck Lady totally worked on me, I didn't see it coming. And a nice twist.

That said, I was kinda hoping that Red thought Food Truck Lady was actually his daughter, only to be bitterly disappointed.
I'm also trying to understand how their Mossad agent, tasked to the FBI, would even be remotely involved with a kidon unit, let alone carrying out an assassination. Mossad doesn't work that way.
