I caught this at random while on a road trip -- the hotel TV had Netflix, so I laboriously typed in my password via the remote control, and this popped up on my splash screen. I figured, Well, I generally like his standup, let's give it a shot... and let it go while hanging out with my friends in Slack and otherwise goofing off. It held my attention, for the most part, with the familiar sitcom beats coming along enjoyably enough. It even had some sitcom-level political discussion (security theater, teacher's strike).

All in all, I'd say a B-level sitcom. If you like Gabriel Iglesias, you'll like his show, but probably not quite as much as you like him.

I enjoyed this. Very basic sitcom, but really funny and extremely kind. Standard teacher/students formula, but I think one of the better of the genre. Nothing ground-breaking, but not everything has to be.

I wanted to love this, and I liked it okay, and I'll watch season two just to support the creators. The kids were uniformly awesome, though. A lot of shows with kid actors seem to cast for looks and not talent, and that wasn't the case here.

I really wanted a cameo from Cristela Alonzo too, since Fluffy was on her show. Actually maybe I just want Cristela season two.
