Budget Hannibal didn't think his cunning plan all the way through? Leaving aside the logistics of guaranteeing the stabbing occurred properly and mortally wounded Ainsley's beau without killing him too quickly, it should have been obvious that dude would sing like a canary later and it would all fall apart?

The only way it could have worked is if whatshisname died instead of being recaptured? Seems like a genius would have known that.

Hannibal woulda known that.

Yeah I liked that Michael Sheen got more time but oy the writing. I mean Ainsley is completely unprepared for what is essentially a freshmen year philosophy argument. I would have loved if she had hit back with "don't give me that 'I must be cruel only to be kind' horseshit. The first part of he hippocratic oath is FIRST DO NO HARM. Not hey it's ok to do harm as long as it all comes out in the wash."

I forgot to add Bellamy Young's performance is great. Her weary "Of COURSE the boogeyman has a good side, that's what makes him the boogeyman!" is so lovely.

Just what was her plan for this interview in the first place, really? Asking a serial killer "why?"--really? Does she really expect there to be an interesting answer to that question? And is she planning on presenting the interview as if she's not his daughter?! There's no way that would work!

But, geez, Michael Sheen is a great actor, and every moment with him on screen is delightful.

The easy rebuttal for that dumb argument is: if you'd never existed, some other surgeon would have saved those patients' lives instead of you, AND the people you murdered would never have been killed.
