Silicon Valley: Tethics

Richard fumes at Gavin’s new ethical stance while Dinesh’s trip to Hawaii turns into a nightmare.
So many tech companies signing a voluntary “best effort” pledge with no real requirements or enforcement was pretty damned accurate as well. You see a lot of these voluntary pledges that are ultimately meaningless when compared to any sort of actual regulatory compliance, likely in an attempt to keep said regulatory compliance at a distance.

I don't know, I'm not feeling this season. It feels like the show overstayed its welcome. I'm also very curious how they will wrap things up. I'm guessing it's gonna be some form of reset; either everything falls apart and and in the final scene Richard starts a new company with the gang, or they get acquired by FAANG and stare at their dead-end corporate jobs and then probably quit and start another company, so really, the same ending.

Yeah, I don't see how the show is going to be able to wrap anything up in two more episodes. Seems like it's just going to be "Oh, hey, turns out the whole tech world is just genius idiots who are rich on paper one day and then broke the next, whaddaya gonna do." Mike Judge can't write an ending to save his life.

- It's hard to watch Richard screw things up once again by telling Gavin about his plan seconds before he executes it, but I guess he'll never learn ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I'd be more annoyed if the show weren't ending soon. Speaking of which...
- Only two episodes left?! Hard to see how they wrap everything up.
