While I've appreciated Black Lightning being set apart from the rest of the Arrowverse all this time, I'm excited for this switch into crossover multiverse nerdery and a break from the ASA+Markovian gloom.

All through this episode I could feel the wordsSpecial CRISIS Cross Over hiding just above the initial title sequence. They may not have been there in fact but they were in spirit.

Agreed. This was a great way to be Crisis-adjacent, although random red sky and talk of anti-matter was probably pretty weird for any Black Lightning fans who don't pay attention to the rest of the Arrowverse.

Pretty much the case for comics readers who only followed one or two titles at the time as well. The WTF quality was novel and exciting. Now the endless event crossovers are expensive and ultimately dull. I wish there were more team up and limited cross over appearances but I am grateful that half the year is not taken up with arcs that just keep rebooting things.

I really found this one interesting. I felt for the alt Jen's and then I guess they're both gone now? I wonder how they return back to Freeland after this. What Earth is our Jen on (not 1 or 2, I guess) and is it gone already?

I don't think it is too spoilery to mention that the Earth on which Black Lightning exists is implied in the Flash episode of Crisis.

Most likely, but which number?

The Earth numbers for the cameos generally corresponded to the year in which the characters first appeared. Black Lightning was introduced in 1973 and Lois watches Earth-73 being hit with the anti-matter wave on her screen as Black Lightning arrives.
