Your judgement of the new Netflix series, “Brews Brothers,” may depend on whether you can stomach a pilot episode that finds humor in the idea that a craft brewmaster has peed in a batch of IPA to beat his brother in a brewing contest. -- VinePair
A crude, laugh-free 30-minute sitcom about craft beer-brewing siblings tries and fails to emulate It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia -- The Guardian

Why do producers constantly feel the need to turn a potentially interesting subject into extra-sophomoric three stooges fare? Would I watch a well-made show following a craft brewer day-to-day? Yeah. I probably would. Will I watch this? Not a chance.

Was it even as good as The League, from whence came its creator? It was not.
Was it populated by the same sort of single-note characters, improbable setups, and ridiculous-in-every-detail resolutions? It very much was.
Did it have Flula Borg? It did, about half the time, which is riiight about the sweet spot.
Was it something faintly amusing to have on in the background while waiting for other things to happen? Sure, if you like that sort of thing.

Quarantine Grade: C+
