The X-Files: Teso Dos Bichos Rewatch

Mulder and Scully are asked to investigate a series of unexplained murders after archaeologists remove an ancient burial urn from a site in the Ecuadorian highlands.
The denouement of this, with all the mild-looking cats at the end, was such a let down, and the stuffed cat attack on Scully made the shark in Jaws look like a marvel of verisimilitude. Why didn't they bring back the black jaguar that killed the archaeologist?
According to the X-Files Wikia, "this episode is almost universally hated by cast and crew, particularly by director Kim Manners, who had two disdainful nicknames for it, one of them being 'Teso Dos Bitches'."
I kind of want to try yajé.
I don't quite understand how a dead body could be stuffed into that urn.
Seriously, Western archaeologists, do NOT help yourselves to the artifacts of other cultures.

That is....part of the reason why this episode is a bit lackluster.
