This was another take on the "Squeeze/Tooms" and "2Shy" formula, in which the killer kills people to satisfy some aberrant biological need of his own.

Why on earth did Samuel Aboah move to the U.S.? There are surely more black people in Burkina Faso than in the States, and he had perhaps less chance of being caught there.

Why would Mulder think Marita Covarrubias would know about the killer?

I was so relieved that Carl Lumbly survived -- such a good, kind man.

Scully was able to move the paralyzed Mulder from the tunnel to the ground too easily -- he was "helping" her in a way he wouldn't have been able to do.
