Terrible episode. Ridiculous in all the bad ways (and none of the good Legends ways). The whole thing was a complete shambles. Last episode somebody mentioned something about coasting on fan service, and that's exactly what this one felt like, but to make matters worse, it was terrible fan service. Who wants to see the Legends go back to university or get involved in the Greek system? I certainly didn't. This was the complete opposite of Legends go to camp, where the team did their best to fit in and blend with the campers and staffers. Here there was no blending, just old people trying to join youth culture. Dumb, dumb, dumb. This was a huge disappointment.

Is there a direct correlation between the absence of Ray Palmer and the lackluster episodes? It feels like it.

I'm pretty sure there is, oh yeah!

I haven't watched this yet, but apparently they've started doing a pre-show show.

Although I'm beginning to see why Nate's dad had such a low opinion of him. I'm on the old man's side.

I was surprised Zari wouldn't drink because she said it was haram. Has that character ever shown that she was devout like that? It seems like she's had wine at book clubs. And, while I don't actually know if drugs are considered haram, she let her brother get her high just a few episodes ago.

There was that episode where Zari 2.0 grabbed a drink out of Behrad's hand when he was under the influence of Marie Antoinette. (I think I got the details right.) I assumed she did that to keep him from consuming something prohibited. I have no idea where drugs fall into the categories of things that are allowed/not allowed.

Flannel-shirt Zari and clueless Mick covered this back in Season 3, no?
Zari Tomaz : [irritated at Rory] Sorry, blood sugar thing. Fasting.
Mick Rory : Fasting.
Zari Tomaz : Yeah, I'm not eating.
Mick Rory : Trying to lose some fat, huh?
Zari Tomaz : No, I love my body. I'm trying to observe Ramadan.
Mick Rory : [offering a tray of sandwiches] So observe it on a full stomach.
Zari Tomaz : Is this bacon?
Mick Rory : You Jewish?
Zari Tomaz : [giving up] I don't even know what... I can't.

yeah this was just ok. I think they had Astra swinging back and forth emotionally too wildly for me.
