An elderly couple adopts an 8 year old they find in a field. She seems to be a fairly normal girl until, at age 18, strange events connected to her origins begin to occur.

At 8 years old, Ko Ja Yoon is found in a field by an elderly couple. Dehydrated, injured, and suffering amnesia, they take her in and raise her as their own. When she auditions for a popular "American Idol" type show strange things begin to happen leading her back to her mysterious origins.

Directed and written by Hoo-Jung Park (I Saw The Devil). Starring newcomer Kim Da-mi as Ja Yoon. Featuring Woo-sik Choi (The Parasite, Train to Busan, and Okja).

Thanks for putting this on my radar! Fun little bloody-minded romp. There was definitely I Saw the Devil metaphorical DNA in it with the style of the twistinesses in the plot.

I don't know that there's a whole lot for any sequel to really pursue, but I'm good for them to try!

I loved the shit out of this. Not earth-shattering or deep, but very fun. I always enjoy seeing non-US filmmakers knock a popcorn movie out of the park.
