Lucian Msamati and Adam Gillen play Salieri and Mozart, respectively, in the National Theatre's 2017 production of Amadeus. An onstage orchestra illustrates Peter Shaffer's play about jealousy, music, and yearning. Watch for free via YouTube till 23 July.

I really enjoyed this! I'd read the script of the stage version many years ago but had never seen it and had forgotten how largely it differs from the movie (an effective and iconic adaptation, in my book). The use of the orchestra and singers was spectacular and I loved the anachronistic touches to the costuming. I want those baroque Doc Martins so badly zomg.

For some reason we took out of piano class to watch this. No regrets.
