Jakob's Wife (2021)

For Anne, married life has been the same predictable grind for 30 years.

But a new construction project in town brings new opportunities including possibly a fling with her high school sweetheart. In a week, Anne finds herself and her life transformed. Ironically it may be her transformation into a vampire that helps her to finally feel alive.

I just finished watching this at SXSW and WOW is this a fun ride! I mean I expect nothing less from these two actors, but I was still impressed. It should be on shudder soon, and when it is I highly recommend it. Can't wait to watch it again. (And for the record, I very rarely gush about movies this much so let that be a testament to the film.)

When it comes to vampire films, gushing is to be expected! Ha, I crack myself up. I've been a fan of Barbara Crampton since Re-Animator (dating myself, ugh, I'm vampire years old) so I will watch this the moment it gets to Shudder!
