I thought this was lovely, though heart-wrenching at times. It seemed like they did the Flashdance/Footloose thing of using body doubles shot in shadow/from behind for any of the big ballet moves and having the actors just pull off their close-ups (though it apparently Song Kang did train for 6 months for the part, so I think he did manage to do some of his pirouettes and basics. I imagine it would be harder to find ballet dancers who can act than to find actors who can dance ballet, so, I didn't mind the camera tricks.
