For gent’s classics week, the sewers make baker boy caps, transform old jackets into outfits for a woman, and create a casual utility jacket.

What I love about this type of show is that there'll be someone who is in deep trouble one week but bounces back the following week. This was a great example of that. A really beautiful winning jacket.

I really didn't understand why the winning garment in the Transformation Challenge won. I thought it was awful, but maybe it looked better up close and in person than it did on TV.

The winner of this week really showed what is possible when they finish a piece. It really was great.

The design of the winning Transformation Challenge garment is very arty and high fashion to me, and I'm betting that contributed to the win. Esme and Patrick seem to like it when a sewer doesn't just present good sewing but also pushes the design beyond the norm (even if it's beyond what most people would actually wear).

Joe was exceptionally funny this episode. He always gets sensible chuckles from me but this week he got guffaws.

The transformation challenge successes are always very avant-garde! Farie made such a beautiful jacket, I bet if she'd finished the previous two weeks' final challenges they would have been breathtaking!
