I wasn't able to finish this. Maybe if I liked his music -- but I've enjoyed other rockumentaries even though I wasn't a fan of the musicians, so it isn't just that. Aspects of it felt like it was made by high school students (e.g. the weird settings for the interviews). Didn't have anyone other than White men interviewed, as far as I could tell, despite Beefheart wanting to be a blues musician. The drummer was interesting (if you ignored the telephone-in-the-tree schtick) and so were the writers (if you didn't get distracted by one being in a church pulpit).
