Looking (Back and Forward)

Finally catching up with Looking Season 1, and Season 2 is starting is just over a week. Based on the conversation in this thread from last year, I think there'd be some interest in discussing the upcoming episodes.
Q's: (1) Has anyone claimed S2 posting preference? (I'd be happy to help, but don't need to be owner.) and (2) Is there any interest in a wrap-up thread to revisit the first season?
I hadn't previously heard of this show (I missed the linked thread on the Blue earlier), but reading about it, it looks interesting. I might check out at least the first couple of episodes this weekend.
I don't have HBO, but S1 is available on Amazon. Anyone know if there's a lag between airing and availability on Amazon, and if so, how much?

I think Amazon only got the full episodes of season 1 for streaming this week. Now that the DVD/Blu-ray is out. I kinda don't think Amazon will have the new episodes until the season is over. (For example, Amazon doesn't have season 2 of The Comeback, which just recently aired on HBO.)
Know anyone with an HBO-go login to share with you? Might be your best bet.
While I, for one, like the show from the get-go, I will acknowledge that the first couple episodes were maybe a little weak. From chatter on the web last year it sounded like a lot of people gave up quickly when they weren't immediately enthralled. It takes time to get to know the characters, and thirty minutes a week isn't a lot of time to do that. The eps might work better marathoned together. Episode 5 in particular (which focuses entirely on two characters on a date together) was where a lot of people finally went "Ok, NOW I like it!"
So don't give up too soon, is what I'm saying, if you don't immediately love it.

Eh, if I decide I like it I'll just wait until S2 comes out on Amazon. I may be months behind everyone else, but I can live with that.
But thanks for the advice to stick with it for more than a few episodes; that's helpful to know.

Currently I'm thinking I'm going to binge watch Season 1 next Sunday, leading right into the S2 premiere.
