So...what if The Counsellor, but Cameron Diaz became pregnant after That Scene? Can't quite decide whether to go see this one.

Well that was a movie that went into my eyeballs and ear holes.

I found this movie to be absolutely incredible. The thing about this movie is it's completely impossible to predict what will happen next, or what genre the movie will be by the time it does. It's a wild ride: shocking violence, tenderness, surreal imagery, all butting up against each other.

If you're thinking about seeing it: you probably should.

Wow, what a ride. I loved how the musical sequences kept pulling us back from the edge of nihilistic extremity by focusing on the physical urges that are propelling the story.

This is a helluva movie, but not a story at all. It's more like a series of provocations that prompt striking scenes. I can see why people like it and the level of craft and inspiration that went into it, but I didn't enjoy it much.

I mean, it's definitely striking and I will be thinking about it for a while. So I may yet change my mind.

I watched this again and I think I caught up to it now. It's bonkers, but it's great.
