Four interwoven stories that occur on Halloween: an everyday high school principal has a secret life as a serial killer; a college virgin might have just met the one guy for her; a group of teenagers pull a mean prank, and a bitter old recluse receives an uninvited guest.

I watched this in 2009, I think? I thought it was fun, especially the twist of Anna Paquin's story. I should rewatch it again. (Also, the keeping the pumpkin lit thing stuck with me after all these years!)

It's a snotty, mean-spirited horror comedy. In the best way. It was really takes the title as a theme.

I never saw this until last year, somehow. I wasn't crazy about it -- it is mean-spirited, but I didn't think it was very much fun -- but it has a good cast. The little dude from the poster is also cool.

It really feels like he wanted to make Creepshow 3 but didn't have the rights, so he made his own format/framing device.

I didn't like this one much. None of the characters were likable or sympathetic.

You're not wrong. But nasty people having nasty stuff happen to them is its own subgenre (Tales from the CryptCreepshow, etc.) It's a whole thing and some folks enjoy it. I sure do.
