The matches were great across the board, but special mention of "how great was Lio Rush and Dante Martin vs Matt Sydal and Lee Moriarty"!! The level of fast striking, dodging, grappling and leaps is next-level fight choreography, really operating on Jackie-Chan levels of creativity.

I noticed on rewatch small character touches:

Adam Cole "introducing" Bobby Fish to the Young Bucks only to be told that they of course remember him from his pre-NXT days is a nice reminder that AEW doesn't forget the existence of other promotions. Since Ibushi and Okada both got named dropped today, I expect more NJPW sightings in 2022...

Dax Harwood tapping out as soon as PAC applies the Brutalizer makes good kayfabe sense, because he knows that as soon as the match is over his buddies are going to jump PAC.

Kenny signing the contract by literally drawing an Omega with Page's blood is peak-heel.

I have a few gripes:

Combining all of your top women into a single massive feud is no longer doing them any favors! I really hope that however the Full Gear match goes for the women's title, that women's division starts to maintain separate storylines, especially after the TBS title. (I expect that will go to Ruby Soho, who will then get hurled into space by Jade Cargill.)

Oh, other things I forgot to mention:

-Tay Conti was SUPER fired up when she pinned Rebel while fixing a look on Britt Baker from across the ring. The mic wasn't on, but you could clearly tell what she was shouting as Baker made her hasty exit. I still think Baker retains at Full Gear but I'd be happy to be shown wrong.

-Miro's promo on Bryan Danielson is terrifying. Snap his neck, take his wife, settle the score with God?

-The Inner Circle promo was interrupted when America's Top Team ambushed them. My biggest laugh of the night was Dan Lambert locking in the Walls of Jericho on Chris Jericho himself while shouting "It's the Boston Crab!" I fully support if they transition Lambert's heel persona far away from "MAGA asshole" and closer to "angry old-timer who idolizes classic-era pro wrestling".
