Nate takes a look at a cold case.

Thefts in an apartment building. It has to be the elevator man, right? Caught in the act, the elevator man resists and is shot by the valiant detective who tracked him down. Case closed...or is it? [cue Serial theme]

I was kind of charmed by the use of the Serial theme when Nate transitioned to talking about the possible twist to the story.

The elevator fight scene would look great on a movie screen -- it makes me think of Joseph Gordon-Levitt's fight scenes from Inception.

It's an unusual story for Dimeo, in that it's a sort of small story without any real resolution. But, oh my God, the fight in the elevator.

And I have to say, I sort of like small stories with no resolution. I hope he does more like this.

Yeah the Serial caught me by surprise, but also made me smile. I bet that little piano bit will become sort of musical shorthand signifier for "it's a cold case that may have more to it than it seems"

I have a feeling Nate Dimeo came up with the Serial theme song joke first, and worked back to tell a story around that. I found it darkly hilarious considering the story, but a good show nonetheless.
