Does this treatment do anything that the documentary doesn't do? I don't understand remaking documentaries as movies (there was a remake of The Eyes of Tammy Faye that was similarly confusing to me.)

Grey Gardens is such a singular piece of media to begin with. Would someone watch this treatment and then seek out the original? I wonder.
