Atlanta: The Most Atlanta
October 10, 2022 11:38 AM - Season 4, Episode 1 - Subscribe

Wherein Paperboi realizes that a song is a rabbit hole, and Atlantic Station gets a little surreal for Earl and Van. Also: a slo-mo chase scene!

I'm thinking of posting a thread every 12-24 hours or so for each episode this season, until we catch up to the current release schedule. Hopefully, it's not too late to talk about it.

I'm glad that we're solidly back in a surreal Atlanta, following our main cast. Atlanta Station never seemed that confusing to me, but then, I wasn't the one driving or keeping track of where we parked.

The B-plot with Darius, nutty as it may seem ...
appears to have been inspired by during the 2020 George Floyd protests.

I was boggled when it was revealed that the funeral had been going on for MONTHS. The dedication of that woman to just sit there day after day is ... inspiring? insane? I don't know what. I'm a widow myself and the funeral was so high-emotion and stressful. I cannot imagine living in that space for weeks and weeks.

Were they essentially being born out of the parking garage into the funeral? Dark, wet, have to squeeze through?

I really appreciate Darius's general attitude towards life - leaving a car stuck on the highway to make a return shows a level of calm and confidence in things working out that I never have.

My daughter and I were Howling. Live in Atlanta, have lost our car in Atlantic Station MANY a time. Heck, pretty much EVERY time.

A friend texted me this week to say that this has finally landed on (legal) UK streaming. Thanks for posting the season skoosh, and I will be reading along, many weeks later.
