Awww. You kinda want to root for Diana having a decent man. You know it didn't work out, but good for her for recognizing (for the moment), at least.

Hasnat Khan - still working as a consultant surgeon apparently. In contrast to Bashir, he comes over as a fairly regular and honest guy - so his perspective on happening to meet and then have an affair with the world's most famous woman - is interesting. Their initial encounter - during Diana's acupuncturist's husband's hospital visit appears to have been lifted directly from Tina Brown's Vanity Fair article about the encounter - it appears that it Khan's lack of focus on her in his initial conversation - that made him seem so appealing. It was Khan who prompted Diana's involvement with mine clearance charities - and it does seem that she may have been considering converting to Islam at this point.
