Treevenge (2008)

Christmas trees ripped out of their forest plan revenge against people enjoying the holidays.

After being hacked down and shipped away from their homes, the trees quickly become strung up, screwed into an upright position for all to see, exposed in a humiliation of garish decorations. But this Christmas will be different, this Christmas the trees have had enough, this Christmas the trees will fight back. Treevenge could be a short film about the end of days for Christmas trees, or perhaps, the end of humanity?

Featuring the iconic theme song to Cannibal Holocaust, it also stars Jonathan Torrens (Trailer Park Boys) and Lex Gigeroff (Lexx.)The director and co-writer Jason Eisener would later go onto to direct the feature length Hobo with a Shotgun.

You're very welcome! Christmas horror is one of my absolutely favorite sub genres.

I don't doubt this is superior to The Happening

Very different vein than the Happening as 1 this is intended to be a comic film 2 it's a short so even if you don't like it, it's only 17 minutes out of your day.

it could be 17 min of footage of a single tree and it would be superior to The Happening

I was watching this and cackling loudly when my sister and kid came back and asked what I was watching and at "A very funny Christmas movie", they came over just in time for the final scene of the baby stomp.

I have sent the link on to other people as "A charming Christmas film short, heartwarming"
