Leverage: Redemption: The Tournament Job
November 21, 2022 8:57 PM - Season 2, Episode 3 - Subscribe
The team has to infiltrate an e-sports tournament to stop a ruthless team owner from mentally and physically abusing his young players.
GodDAMN the guy playing Kyle was both super hot, super smarmy, super charismatic, and super evil all at one go. Wow, what a talent. What a comeuppance.

Anyone who was curious about what Harry would look like with Parker's hair is now feeling fulfilled, I'm sure.
This one was very tightly plotted, which has felt like a rarity in the new seasons. The heads-I-win-tails-you-lose setup was well done, and I honestly wasn't sure how they'd get out of it.
I know nothing whatever about esports. Are they as racist as this episode made them look? White teamrunners with Asian/Asian-American players?

Breanna: "What, Hardison's watching us?"
Parker: "He's always watching us. Through every camera." (waves)
He sees you when you're sleeping. He knows when you diss e-sports as not being real.

I really love the binder marked Alec Hardison's LEVERAGE User's Guide, Vol 2 that Sophie is browsing to help Parker with the hack. I wonder who ended up with that at the end of the show, what a fun prop.

Look, I know we have to suspend a certain amount of disbelief, but putting your face on an internationally-broadcast event that is certain to make the news (at least in the relevant circles) seems real dumb. It would have been trivial to re-write the episode to give the sister Breanna's speech at the end.
