Sophie muses: "What is a con? .... It's a set of artificial circumstances designed to elicit an intended response." And suggests Harry will someday go back "with a very distinctive set of skills" which alludes both to Eliot's frequent "it's a very distinctive [x]" assessment and to the classic quote from Liam Neeson's character in Taken, "I don't know who you are. I don't know what you want. If you are looking for ransom, I can tell you I don't have money. But what I do have are a very particular set of skills, skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you." [I have not seen Taken but that quote is popular]

A particularly New Orleans-flavored episode this time: alligators, Katrina effects, a proposed hot sauce factory.

Nice to see Sarah again!

I appreciated how the prosecutor acted so entitled, e.g., "don't just stand there, help me" to her opponent during the pepper spray/gas attack.

Kira, the particularly greedy and amoral cop, plays "ABC" [the "B" is an icon of a bee] which is clearly meant to represent the New York Times daily Spelling Bee puzzle -- when you get to a certain level you get called a Genius, which is not quite as good as successfully finding all the words and getting called a Queen Bee. Great concise moment of characterization but also how scandalous that people who do not share my values enjoy the same game I do!!?!

I haven't watched this one yet, but I love the synopsis already -- I'm really fond of the ones where they let one another learn and screw up while being there to mitigate the consequences as needed.

If the original cast ever wants to step down, I could dig a Leverage: International miniseries with them guesting from time to time. West Coast Leverage... Premier League Leverage... Great Lakes Leverage...
