didn't see this here and it seemed to get raving reviews everywhere. Love to hear what others here think about it.

(it may be a generation thing, but I have trouble with a plot that is moved by harming a dog :-(. also don't get/like the young female lead. or her friends)

Just started this after hearing a rave review on Fresh Air and the first two episodes were hilarious and light-hearted but not sappy. Strong recommendation!

Yeah, I really liked this (and it seems clear we're not meant to like her friends, beyond the one best friend, nor, obviously, are we meant to like her mother & mother's boyfriend, but I found everyone else pretty charming by the end).

Digging around, it looks like the series was created by and written by the two lead actors, who are married in real life. (Plus it's been renewed for an upcoming second season.)

Truly, Episode 6 (“The Good Room”) is the only thing that has come close to being as horrifying as the Christmas episode of The Bear (“Seven Fishes”). Mr hgg thought it was actually worse. So stressful.

I did enjoy this show, though.

I'm quite enjoying it, and I say that as someone who often feels very negative in fanfare. Intrigued to get to episode 6.
